Title: Sorcery of Thorns

Elisabeth Scrivener, an apprentice in training at the Great Library of Summershall. But this is no ordinary library, it contains ancient, magical books known as grimoires and it is Elisabeth’s job as an apprentice to tend, care, and protect them. That is, until things turn upside down in ways Elisabeth never imagined. Now she is being taken to the capital for questioning and has all but lost her previous life. But, things are not what they seem. It will be up to Elisabeth to truly see what is happening before it’s too late.
Wow I cannot think of anything except the idea rip from Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji). But, how many ideas in the world can there be without recreating them with a beautiful masterpiece that is Sorcery of Thorns. If you want to your Black Butler dreams that you always wanted for Ciel and Sebastion to come true, then look no further!
Elisabeth, Nathaniel and Silas– a trio to die for. Literally. These three get along so well together I just loved their dynamic. The constant dependency on each other throughout this novel is the driving force behind this magical work of art. I really hope everyone is a sucker for this romance/ friendship as I was.
This is an adventure you will never forget. As a standalone novel, you will be fully immersed in this magical tale. Elisabeth successfully captures everyone’s attention with her persistence through unhappy times and with the true faith in what she believes in. This adventure will be quite memorable and I pray they make a movie from this book that does it justice.
If you are in the mood for a wild tale then look no further. The life of Elisabeth Scrivener as a junior apprentice will forever be changed. But will it be for the better?
My similar recommendation for this novel would be Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas. Except with the whole series in one book.
